End Talk: Don’t Look Tired and About Tsuki

Sorry about the noise from the outside.

If you cannot hear what I am saying or have questions, let me know.

  1. Hello Imafuji-sensei. I would like to ask about the “Don’t look tired” part of the video.
I’m not sure if I understood what sensei said (because of the noise, or because my English is bad), but to not look tired is so to maintain good posture and go “crazy” (as the meaning you said in the video)? In matter of context, sensei was saying this because the jigeiko was the final part of the training right? But, what if I get tired in kihon-geiko? Is it more wise to conserve your energy so you can do things like that in the final part of keiko, or would you go “crazy” anyway?

    • Kaitei, thanks for your questions. Don’t look tired is a challenge to yourself. During hard training, you should be tired. You should want to quit training because you are so drained. It is easy to show that you are tired but you need to go beyond your limit.
After all, you need to pull your mental power out of deep inside you. That is what we want to do.

To go beyond your limit, you need to go crazy. No logical thinking is needed. Go crazy and get the energy out of you. Squeeze it out. You think you cannot go anymore but you can. Once you experience that, you will feel something you never thought you had in you.

      Good luck!
